thrust into a massive, fast-moving remote working experiment. Covid-19 has forced the
closure of offices in most major cities, and the home office has become the norm.
Outside of the remarkable circumstances in which we currently find ourselves, demand
for remote work has increased steadily in recent years. But while employees have been
looking to increase flexibility, enabling remote working in a way that works seamlessly for
both businesses and their staff has presented many organisations with challenges.
This report looks at data from around the globe, as well as asking some of Australia’s leading
technology companies, both big and small, how they have been approaching
remote working in recent years. The result is a set of three core insights that help
